Sick Day

When Tuesday rolled around, we got dressed and headed up to Tallahassee.  I dropped Bellamy off at Nana and Pop's and then headed to work.  As I pulled into my parking space I got the dreaded text..."Bellamy just threw up".  Not what I wanted to hear for a lot of reasons.  We decided to hold out going to get her for the time being.  Then at about 8:45 the call came.  They had put her down for a nap, heard her crying, went in to check on her, and there was throw up all in her bed.  Bless her heart.  I left and went to take my angel home.

When we got home, I was able to get her to eat a little soup and drink some Gatorade.  As we were eating lunch, she wanted to watch movies...AKA movies of her!  So I decided to turn the camera around and snap some pictures!  Here is one of the pictures we sent to Drew.
I know she doesn't look sick and believe me, she wasn't acting sick either.  Then 5:30 rolled around and it hit.  She threw up again.  And then again at 6:30.  Bless her little heart.  We put her to bed a little earlier that night and hoped for the best.  We shall see how all of this unfolds!

Play Date in the Park

For lunch on Monday Drew met Bellamy and Pop at the park...lucky dog!  Here are a few pictures of their outing.  They started out with a wagon ride...
Then Bellamy had to take her turn pulling the wagon...you can't always just be the rider!
Next they hit up the swings...
Then it was posing time with daddy...I'm sure his highlight of the day!

Later that night when we all got home and Drew was changing clothes, Bellamy decided she wanted to play dress up.  She hasn't done this in a while, so she was overdue!  She loved wearing daddy's "big shirt"!!
But she had to take a break and watch some "holy moly" (magic tunnels), as she calls it...
Then she pranced around in his shoes for a few minutes!
This little girl sure lights up our days!  Love you my sweet girl!

Sunday Best

She's at it again...looking super cute on Sunday!

It gets harder and harder to get the perfect picture, but we sure have fun in the process!

Later that afternoon Bellamy was sitting on the couch and I decided to use her as my pillow.  It was so sweet when she wrapped her little arm around my neck and held me...even though I was just trying to pester her!
This is mama's sweet girl!  I love this little thing so much! :)

Sweet Saturday

So I totally don't know why or how, but I ended up deciding to go BACK to Tallahassee on Saturday!  Drew wanted to watch the FSU/UF game and I had no desire for that, so Bellamy and I packed up and headed to Tally to do some more shopping!

We ended up going to Meris' and while we were finishing up getting her girls ready Kylia text and said she wasn't going to be able to go because she sick.  Here's the reason for this post!  It was so sweet I just knew I had to capture this moment!

When we found out Kylia was sick, Ryan got sad.  She immediately said, "We need to say a prayer for Kylia".  And Meris reminded her that we needed to say a prayer for Terah too.  So all the girls lined up on the couch for prayer.  I first snapped this picture...
All the girls folding their arms for prayer.  How precious is that?!  Once I saw this, I just knew I wanted more.  So I hit record...I missed the first part of Ryan's prayer, which started out "Dear Lord Jesus, bless Kylia and Terah", but I caught the rest.  I know this is soooo irreverent, but it was so sweet!  Here's what I was able to record...
How sweet is that?!  I love how you can see the concern and faith in Ryan's little face.  I now see what it means to "become as a little child".  May we all learn to develop those childlike qualities that will one day lead us back to our Father in Heaven.

The Day After...

Was a complete blur, much like Thursday night!  When Bellamy woke up that morning, Drew sent me this sweet little picture of her in our bed.
Once I finally rolled in around 10:30, it was almost time for her nap...and one for me too!  And believe me, when she went down, I did too!  I think I slept about an hour and a half, then I felt like I was missing out on time with Drew and Bellamy, so I drug myself outta bed and headed outside!  Bellamy had woken up just a little bit before me, so she and Drew were outside playing in the sand...her most favorite thing to do!  Here she is playing with her toys!  I love this first picture!

She is such a mess!  Everything is a hat to her...bowls, blankets, stuffed animals, and now apparently pots!  What a crazy little thing!

After a while of watching Drew climb up on the ladder, she decided she wanted to join him.  So up she went!
Once we finally got her back inside, she started getting busy getting into other stuff!  She found this box (not hard, just pick one) in our room and pulled out yet another hat.  So in she ran to her room to look at herself!
For some reason I felt like I had a jolt of energy...so we loaded up and went on over to Wal-Mart!  Here is Bellamy all dressed and ready to go...sporting her jeggins and boots!
We ended up buying her another birthday/Christmas gift and then went on back home so I could crash!  Hopefully tomorrow will be better!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

For Thanksgiving this year we headed out to the good ol' LC!  What a treat!  Once we got over there we immediately started setting up!  Kylia had found a cute craft on Pinterest and brought all the makings for it, so we headed out to the big room to get started.  Once our craft was complete, we posed for a picture with our little turkey family (this was actually way late in the day, as you can tell by the way Bellamy's hair looks!)!
Next the WHOLE family headed outside for a group shot!  I knew there was a lot of us, but man!  The only person missing from the picture is Aunt Charlotte and that's because she was taking the picture!
What a good looking group!  Finally we were able to head in for lunch!  I'm telling you what...there was food galore!  It was pure crazy!  But as it always happens, Bellamy doesn't want to eat anything because there is so much going on, so Drew and I scarf down our food and then take her outside to play.  I will admit that Drew spent more time outside with her, but I was thankful he let me stay in and catch up with the family!  Here are a few pictures of her playing outside with her cousins.

We had fun in Hosford, but it's always nice to head back!  I was looking forward to my nap, especially since I was heading out Black Friday shopping with Kylia and Meris!  So we get home and put Bellamy down, but as it usually happens, Drew and I can't sleep.  Oh well!

After Bellamy got up from her nap, she ate some dinner and then it was time to play!  I showed her her turkey picture and got her to pose for a few shots...

And then this happened...
Poor little thing sat on the frame and broke it!  Thankfully she wasn't hurt and we can always buy a new frame!  Then she decided she wanted her "puppets".  Her puppets are not really puppets.  This is probably sad, but her puppets are our oven mits...and she loves them!  Except this time she did something a little different.  Usually we put them on her arm/hand and we'll talk for them, but this time she decided to wear them a different way...
Yep...on her feet...like boots!  She thought this was just the funniest thing!  And I admit, it was pretty cute!

Finally it was time for me to head out, so it was time for Bellamy to go down for the night!  After her bath and prayer, I headed up to Tallahassee to meet Kylia and Meris.  I ended up leaving the house around 8:45 and headed straight to Meris' to pick her up.  I honestly can't remember what all we did, where all we went, so I'm going to recap as best as I can!

We started out by going to Target in Bradfordville, but once we got there the line to check out was wrapped back to the frozen foods, so we decided it wasn't worth it!  Next we headed over to Belk at the Tallahassee Mall because you could get a free gift card for the first X people in line.  We weren't one of the X's, so we decided to go on over to Sports Authority, which opened at midnight!  Since it was still a little early, we went  over to Best Buy just to see the line...it was a mad house!  The line started at the door and wrapped all the way past Hungry Howies!  We saw a friend of ours in line and mentioned to him how crazy he was for standing there!  After laughing at them, we headed on back to Sports Authority.  Kylia and I were the brave ones, we decided to go stand in line and see if we could get anything!  Here is Kylia as we waited in line!
Yes, this line was crazy too...the red arrow shows where the store is and where we were in line.  Anyway, we finally got in and as Kylia stood in line, I headed on over to Old Navy.  BIG MISTAKE.  That place was a zoo!  Their line to check out started at the front window and wrapped to the BACK of the store and then made it's way to the front.  There was soooooo many people in there that you couldn't even shop...so I left.  After this, the night was a blur!  Somehow we ended up at Steak and Shake for a snack, went to Meris' work for her to sign some papers, then to the mall, Toys-R-Us, back to Old Navy, then to Target, Chick-fil-a, back to Old Navy (where I could FINALLY purchase something), back to the mall, Sams, back to Target, Verizon, Pier One, Chick-fil-a again, and then finally back to Kylia's!  That was one long night...and I'm sure I missed a few stops in there somewhere!

I finally rolled in to the house at 10:30 Friday morning!  I was exhausted!  This was a swift reminder of one thing...I'm not as young as I once was!  Here's to a much needed weekend of REST!

Thanksgiving Eve

This year for Thanksgiving we were getting to spend it with my family, so Nana and Pop decided to hit the road with Beth and Chris and their kids.  They decided to leave that Wednesday, which meant I was able to take off work and spend the day with my little girl!  Unfortunately we didn't just get to chill at home like I wanted, but we did something special and fun, so it all worked out!

In Relief Society and Young Women we have been making adult bibs for the local nursing homes, hospice house, etc., so on Wednesday, Bellamy and I headed up to Tallahassee with the Youth too present some of the bibs that we had made.  Before we got dressed and ready, we had to take some pictures for daddy!  Here she is enjoying her oatmeal for breakfast!
After breakfast we had to hurry up and get dressed!  Once I got her dressed and ready to go, we posed for a few more pictures for daddy!  I tell you what, this kid can make some faces!  I'm almost certain she was saying "Hey Terah"!

She is just looking too big, too fast!
Once we finally made it up to Tallahassee, we donated our bibs and headed out to the garden for a group picture.  We did get some pictures of Bellamy giving a bib, but that's not on my camera...darn it!  Here is our  group of girls with Bellamy!
I was surprised she stood there long enough for them to snap about 10 pictures!  But when they said that they were done, she was off like a bolt of lightening!  After the picture we hung around for a few minutes to take in the beauty of the garden they had.  There were flowers everywhere, a fountain, a gazebo...just very serene!  I was able to catch this precious picture of Bellamy with a flower!
This is the first time I've ever seen her actually SMELL a flower!  Usually when she smells a flower she does it the same way she gives somebody a kiss!  Very precious!

I will say that we had fun hanging out with the Young Women on our day off!  We have such a great group!  Since Crawfordville is so small, we've usually only had 2-3 Young Women, but it seems in the last few months that we have just taken off and it's awesome!  They truly have a love for the gospel and serving others.  It's so great to be a part of such an amazing group!

Dance Mom

Ok...so I'm not like them...and hopefully NEVER will be!

I recently learned that they converted the old Post Office in town to a dance studio, and get this...they start kids at 18 months!  So I just had to go and try it out!

Tuesday when we got home from work, we ran around like mad women trying to get Bellamy ready for her class.  I didn't have a leotard or tights, so I had to work with what I did have...and I have to say she turned out quite cute!

Once we got there she was ready to go!  She did so good participating in the stretching and warm up that I got a very excited!  Next the music came on and that was it.  All she wanted to do was run around!  She would come back and try some of the moves, which was a hoot in and of itself!  Here she is in all her dancing glory!

Hopefully we will go back, but part of me thinks that she's just too young right now!  Who knows though!!

Pop's Pics

It's been a while, but here is Pop and Bellamy grilling their Thanksgiving turkey!
Looks like we have us a little chef on our hands!

Doctor's Visit

For the past few weeks Bellamy has had a horrible cough.  When we called the doctor, they told us to give it another week and if it was still hanging around, then we could come in.  That's comforting.  Anyway, last week I noticed she was pulling on her left ear.  So I quickly called the doctor and made us an appointment!  There was no way I was going into the long holiday weekend with an ear infection!

When we got there and got checked in, we were waiting on the doctor to come in.  Bellamy was running around the little room and I noticed she kept saying "Pop, Pop".  I thought she was hearing her shoes hit the floor or something, so after about the fifth time hearing it, I finally stopped her and asked her what she was saying.  Next thing I know, she points at this display and says "Pop, Pop".  Lo and behold, this is what she saw...
We use this same ointment at home and Bellamy thinks Dr. Smith looks just like Pop!!  Everytime we put it on her she says "Pop".  Finally the doctor came in and Bellamy was not having it!  She tried to listen to her heart and lungs and Bellamy just cried.  I finally got her to calm down by getting her to tell the doctor what her heart says...boom boom.  Everytime she put the stethoscope on her I would ask her what her heart says and she would say boom boom!  Then came the ears.  The dreaded ears.  I thought breastfeeding was supposed to help with this, but I guess not in my case.  She ended up having a slight infection for which we got a prescription for IF she needed it.  And lastly came the dreaded flu shot.  Poor little thing!  Luckily she didn't cry long and we got a sticker as we left!  Now it was back to Nana and Pop's for Bellamy and back to work for me.  :(

After I got off work, I went back to pick her up and head home!  As we were driving she kept saying "daddy, daddy", so I asked her if she wanted to take a picture for daddy.  She said yes and this was our picture...
SCORE...what a perfect pose!  What a sweet little girl!

Sunday Best

Since this was the Sunday before Thanksgiving, I decided I needed to dress Bellamy in her most autumn-y/Thanksgiving-y dress I could find!  But first we have to kick off the morning with our breakfast shot for daddy!  Here is Bellamy enjoying a nice big bowl of cheese grits and eggs!
Like I've said before, it's getting harder and harder to get her to pose for a picture!  Believe it or not, the only way I can get somewhat of a smile is if I tell her to say "Hey Terah"!!  She only does this because she thinks she is getting to make a movie for Terah!  So here are a few outtakes!
This is about the best pose I could get from here when she's not yelling for Terah! :)
I think her outfit turned out cute!  The only problem is she is looking too big!!  I can't believe my baby girl is going to be 2 soon!

Saturday, In the Park...

I know it's not the 4th of July!  And yes, I've used this title before, but it fits, so deal with it!

This post actually starts out about Friday, so let me back it up just a bit.  Drew wasn't feeling good Friday, so I volunteered to go grocery shopping for him.  While I was there, I happen to find Bellamy some little black boots that I just HAD to have!  Also while I was there, I found her a new Christmas footie!  So needless to say...both items found their way into my buggy and eventually into my home! :)

Now here we are at Saturday!  Bellamy found her boots (which were conveniently placed on the table!) and had to put them on!  So I obliged!  Here she is modeling her boots!
And then she had to show off her new footie jammas!
After we played for a while, it was nap time!  Which meant running errands for me and housework for Drew.  I know, super fun, right?!  It actually was though!  This was our first "free Saturday" in months where we could just do what we wanted to do...without any obligations!  Once Bellamy woke up from her nap, we decided we wanted to run up to Tallahassee and have a little fun!  So I got myself and Bellamy dressed and ready to go!  As we waited on Drew, I took these cute little pictures of my baby girl!
We ended up going to Lake Ella to feed the duckies!  Bellamy loves ducks so she was in heaven!  Although a few times I caught her eating the bread, instead of giving it to the ducks!  Here she is posing with Daddy, as he tries to hold her back from running into the water!

She finally got bored with the ducks and was ready to run!  So we let her take off!  It's so funny how she gets so distracted!

Once we finally got her back on course, we ran across a cute little puppy named Rayna.  Bellamy was in love!
Soon she became bored with the puppy too and off she went!  Next we spotted the big helicopter and I caught this cute little picture!
Since Drew had already posed with Bellamy, it was my turn.  You know I HATE pictures!  But I read an article that talked about how moms need to be IN the pictures more, not just taking them!  So here we are!

Once I let Bellamy down, she was off again!  She found some more ducks, so we stopped to feed them too.  Luckily they were actually hungry!
When we had given all the bread we had, it was time to head to the car.  And if you've never been around Lake Ella, it's pretty long...even longer when you're Bellamy!  So she hitched a ride with daddy!
Next we decided we wanted to go to the park, so off we went!  We ended up going just down the road to Winthrop Park because they have a nice little playground there!  Here are some of the shots I got of Bellamy going down the big slide!

I tell you what, this kid has no fear!  At the park, their playground equipment all basically connects, so Bellamy wandered over to this bridge type thing.  So we decided to take advantage of another photo-op!
Not very clear, but you get the picture (no pun intended).  As we were trying to get her to go down the kiddie slides, she found this little rocking toy.  I hate these things...I almost always fall when it's time to get off!  Happened this time too...too bad I'm not posting the video for it!  Anyway, last photo-op of the night!
Finally we were able to load up and head out!  We were all tired and very much hungry!  And since we were near a TCBY, we just had to stop off there first!  And that we did!  I even got Bellamy some yogurt (a VERY SMALL yogurt!) and she loved it...kept saying "ice cream, ice cream" the whole way home!

I love Saturday's when we just get to spend it with each other!  We sure had fun and can't wait to do it again!
