Precious
She is just too much! The other night I had to give her a little bit of Tylenol to help with her fever and when she was done, I took the syringe and put it in my mouth and just started moving it from side-to-side and up and down. She thought this was the funniest thing! It only stinks that I didn't get the BEST laugh on camera! Oh well, enjoy!
Just Like Her Daddy...
When Bellamy gets tired, she either falls flat out or gets super wired...hence the title of this post! The other day when I picked Bellamy up they let me know that she had not had her afternoon nap. I knew I was going to be in for a ride!
On the way home I kept watching her out of my rear view mirror to see if she was falling asleep or not. I noticed her head fall forward a few times, but she always woke back up. By the time we hit Shadeville Highway, she was pretty much done. As I was driving down the road (I know, this is horrible of me!), I snapped this sweet little picture of her cuddling with her teddy bear and her blanket. It's kind of hard to see with the reflection, but I know what I'm looking at!
When we got home and she ate, she seemed to have found her second wind! She crawled up on the couch with Drew and I and just became a little ham! She was blowing kisses at the camera, waving, folding her arms...whatever she could to get an "Oh, that's so sweet!" from her mommy and daddy!
Once we got finished snapping pictures, I turned it to video and let her have at it!
I love that when she folds her arms in this video she looks like a little thug! That's OK, she's my little thug! This little girl sure brings a huge smile to our faces! We love her so much and hope that she ALWAYS knows that!

Pop's Pics
Pop had to go out on a job the other day, so he took his little riding buddy along. While they were there, he taught her the ins-and-outs to real estate.

Sunday Best...and All the Rest!
When Sunday rolls around, I never know what kind of morning I'm going to have! Bellamy can wake up and be perfect (which is usually the case!) or she can still need a couple more hours of sleep. Thankfully today was the perfect day!
After I got her up and got her changed, we went out to eat breakfast. On this particular morning she wanted to have breakfast with her elephant that Aunt Becky bought her.
As I've mentioned earlier, getting my usual "Sunday Best" picture is getting harder and harder. All Bellamy wants to do is run around or try to grab my phone as I'm trying to take her picture. Here are the few shots I was able to get of her. They are cute, but I can't wait for the day when she will stand still, smile, and let me take a few pictures!
We had a pretty good day at church. Since I'm in nursery, Bellamy stays in there with me the majority of the time, unless Drew decides to come get her. She's usually pretty good in there, but this Sunday we had a "first". The kids were coloring at the table and I was sitting there telling them how good they were doing. Bellamy came and crawled up in my lap and I gave her a picture and a few crayons and she went to coloring! She did pretty good for her first time! So of course, I took a picture of it for your viewing pleasure!
Once we got home from church, Bellamy was beyond tired. I wanted her to eat some lunch before she went down for her nap, so we sat up and played for a while, waiting on Drew to get home. I jumped up on the couch for a few minutes and she wanted to join me. So I picked her up and sat her down beside me and this is what she did...bless her little heart!
Shortly after this, Drew got home and it was time to lay down! She went down without a peep! A little while later, we all woke up and it was snack time. I didn't want to give her anything too big because dinner was just around the corner. We had some bananas on the table, so I suggested that Drew sit down and eat a banana with her. She was in HEAVEN! She loves bananas! When she even so much as sees a peel, she starts repeating, "nana, nana, nana"! And let me tell you what, this kid can take an adult sized bite out of a banana. Have a looksy!
Look at that big wad of banana in that little tiny mouth! She is her father's child! When we finally ate dinner, Bellamy wore down pretty fast. She is so pitiful when she gets tired. If she has her blanket, she will just lay down wherever she can!
She didn't even move as I was taking her pictures! She just laid there, oblivious to what was going on around her! Needless to say, we put her down not too long after this. We had a great Sunday and enjoyed spending the extra time with our sweet little one!

Mommy and Me
On Saturday, Drew got tickets for the FSU/Miami baseball game, so it was just me and the little one at home. Usually I'm better at documenting our stays together, but this Saturday I was too tired and was too busy around the house. I did catch these two little cute pictures of my angel and sent them to Drew. In the first picture she was reading her book. She loves books and I love that she loves books!
On a side note, just so I don't EVER forget this, Ms. Nancy told me the sweetest story the other day. Bellamy has just caught on to the whole "fold your arms" thing. At every prayer we have I will tell her to fold her arms and if she unfolds them during the prayer, I will quietly re-fold them for her! Ms. Nancy said the other day that she had put her snacks out on the table for her just to come get them as she wanted. She said she wondered over there, looked at her snacks, folded her arms, and began to "talk". She said she thought it was a fluke, but then she did it again! This sure made us smile! It made us feel like we are doing SOMETHING right as parents. And also that we better watch ourselves because she learns super fast!
In this next picture I caught her watching her favorite little show, Danny & Daddy. It's a little drawing/guessing show on BabyFirst TV and she just loves it!
I sure do love my time with this little one. It's amazing watching her grow and learn new things everyday. A Day of Celebration
This Friday I got some exciting news. Nothing official yet, so I'm not going to say what it is, that day will come! Usually we don't go out to eat because we are trying to do better with saving money, but today we made an exception.
When Drew got home, late, I had already decided that I didn't want to go anywhere because we already had to go grocery shopping. As he pulled into the driveway, Bellamy and I met him outside. Her new thing is crawling up into the car with her Daddy! So up she went and she immediately started to pilfer around. She ended up finding a cup of water and decided she wanted some. Drew took the lid off and that's when she saw the lemon. She stuck her little hands in there so fast and had that lemon up to her mouth in no time! I guess all the juice had been squeezed out because it didn't seem to bother her too much!

Once we got inside we got changed and headed out to El Jalisco. Big celebration dinner, huh?! When we there and get our food, Drew thought it would be a good idea to take an individual picture of everybody because, "this is blog-worthy". I love how he gets to decide what's blog-worthy when he doesn't even write on the blog! Anyway, I digress. So I did it.
After we finished eating, I thought it would be cute to get a picture of Bellamy in the sombrero that they use for birthdays. I know, this is totally gross, but it was so bright and shiny and I just knew she would love it. Boy was I wrong! She didn't want that thing on her head or anywhere near her! Drew even put it on to show her it was OK, but she didn't like it at all! Oh well, lesson learned!
We definitely had a good time and are excited about the adventure that's ahead of us! Silly Mommy
This post is a little late because I just saw the pictures in my phone, but at least it's going up! A few Saturday's ago Bellamy and I took a ride up to Tallahassee to hang out with my sisters. We did a little Easter shopping, eating, playing with the cousins, eating, and so on. While we were there, I decided to take some pictures of Bellamy to send to Drew so that he could see what he was missing out on!
We sure did have a blast hanging out with the family! We totally shouldn't wait as long as we did to do it again!

iPhone Fun
I've mentioned before how Bellamy loves my phone...especially the camera! Over the last couple of days I've gotten some cute pictures of her when I turn the camera around on her.
I love the ones of her in her pajamas. That little tongue sticking out has to be the cutest thing ever!
New Doctor
A few months ago Drew and I made the decision to change Bellamy from her family doctor to a pediatrician. This was a very hard decision for me because she was seeing the same doctor that I've been seeing since I was little and I love them. But we made the change, so now it was time to face the new doctor!
On Tuesday, April 18th was Bellamy's first appointment with Dr. Bunnell at Professional Park Pediatrics. After I picked up my baby girl, we headed that way, very unsure of what to expect. As we got there and got the book for new patients to fill out, I was happy with our decision. The front office staff was nice, they had a toy out for the little ones to play with, and after I finished the paperwork, we were swiftly moved back to another waiting room. The second waiting room was nice too. Another toy for Bellamy to play with, so she was good! After being in there about 10 minutes our name was called and we were taken back to our room. We were then instructed to disrobe and head toward the scales! Not my favorite, but at this age, Bellamy doesn't care! Her 16 month stats are: height: 31 1/4 inches, weight: 25lbs 15oz.
We didn't get to actually meet Dr. Bunnell, we had a nurse practitioner. After she relayed Bellamy's height and weight, she asked if I had always had an "average height, chunky baby"?! Poor thing, hopefully she'll grow out of it, right?! Anyway, she had a good visit and got good reports on everything. Then came the shots. The dreadful shots. Not fun for Mommy, definitely not fun for Bellamy. As I laid her down on the table, I got the feeling that she knew something was up. I started singing the "Bumble Bee" song, but that didn't do anything. The first stick was in, moderate screaming. Then the second shot, even louder screaming. Then the third and final stick, which initiated the hyperventilating cry. Nothing could stop her. They put three band aids on her and gave her a sticker and we headed out to the car and back to Nana and Pop's house.
Later that night when we got home, we made the extra effort to spoil our brave little girl! I had to take a couple of pictures of her with her band aids on, as this is the first time she ever had one!

So far I'm impressed with Dr. Bunnell's office. Hopefully when we meet him at her next appointment, I'll still feel good about our decision!
Thank You Chickie!
For Christmas Kiera got Bellamy a San Francisco t-shirt. She has just now been able to fit it and I love it! So I just had to send Chickie a "Thank You" picture, and figured why not document it on her blog as well!
Thanks again, Chickie! I love you!

Pop's Pics
A life in the day of Bellamy, according to Pop! They started out chilling on the hammock...
Then they went on a walk down to the park where she had fun playing under the jungle gym, or jail as Pop called it!

How I would love a lazy day like this! Enjoy them now, sweet girl, because the way time is flying by, you will be as busy as a bee!
Easter, Take II
Every since we've been married, Drew and I have just alternated holidays. This works for us in so many ways, mainly that we get to spend more time with one family that day and that we aren't so stuffed that we can't walk for the next week! Any who, this year we spent Easter with the Vass clan. However, my family decided that they wanted to do an Easter with Bubbles too, so one was organized and we headed to Bristol.
We decided that since we were eating after lunch, that we would just head over there for church too. I loved it! They do Sacrament Meeting first and then the other classes, which is completely opposite from what we do. Bellamy did so much better in Sacrament! When there was like 10 minutes left, she started getting a little antsy, but otherwise she did good. Next we tried to go into Sunday School, but she wasn't having that, so off to nursery we went! Ms. Cindy was in there, so I stayed with Bellamy and was able just to catch up with her and her family. It sure was good going back!
After church we went straight to Bubbles' house to get the festivities underway! Since we didn't get any pictures of us on Easter, we decided to have Meris snap a few. She didn't do bad, considering she was only working with an iPhone! So here is our Easter picture from 2012.
When we snapped our picture, we decided to see if Bellamy would cooperate for a little mini session of just her. She did OK! I had to do my juggling music over and over, but it was worth it!
Next we headed inside to get changed and warm the food. Lunch was awesome...but that's nothing new! After lunch we went out to hide and hunt for eggs. Here is a group shot of all the participating little kiddos! Please note this is not a good picture, but it's the only one where everybody is somewhat looking at the camera and acting like they were excited!
5, 4, 3, 2, 1...GO! And they were off! The boys went one way and the little kids went the other! Bellamy found an egg, but she wasn't that excited with it. She also passed several other eggs, but she didn't want anything to do with those either! Once we got inside and the kids started opening their eggs, she got hold of a Russell Stover's egg and would not let go! Needless to say she didn't get any, and I say she had more fun squishing it up anyway!
After all the food, family, and fun, it was time to pack up and head home. This next part is going to be VERY selfish, but it has to be written for the next few pictures to make sense! Basically, Drew and I wanted a nap and we knew if Bellamy took a nap on the way home, she wouldn't want to sleep when we got there. So I was tasked to sit in the back with her and keep her awake. This is her sleepy picture.
You can see that she is disgusted with me. Her eyes are red and her fingers are positioned just like she likes them. But I did my job (I'm disgusted with myself). By the time we were about half way down 267, she caught a second wind! I was trying to snap some more pictures of her and she got excited about my phone. Since I was making her stay awake, I let her have it!
Once we finally made it home, we were all wore slap out! We got her changed and she fell asleep almost immediately and we weren't far behind her. We slept for a good hour and a half and then everybody was up and ready to go. But Bellamy wore down quickly! Poor little thing was carrying around her blanket (a sure sign of being tired!) and would just lay down on it anywhere she could!
When all was said and done, we had another wonderful Easter! We enjoyed our time with family and the opportunity to again reflect on the true meaning of Easter, our Savior Jesus Christ.

Planting the Crops
After our fun filled day at the park and the St. Marks River, we decided we would finally put our crops in the ground. We had them in their little pots, but now it was time (past time) for us to put them in the ground. So to the backyard we went!
She didn't enjoy it too much! She automatically started spitting it out! It was precious! These next pictures were shortly after her taste-test!
For the first few minutes Bellamy wanted nothing to do with the plants, so she went to play with the dogs. Once Drew got the first plant in the pot and pretty much covered, I told her to go see what Daddy was doing, and off she went. It was love at first sight! She immediately started digging in and lending a helping hand!
After she realized how much she liked the feel of the soil between her fingers, she figured she would give it a taste! Trust me, I saw this coming, but I had been successful at just telling her "No, No", so I never thought she would actually go for it!
After we got the first plant potted and started the second one, we realized we didn't have enough soil. Bellamy was doing her best to help out! I guess she thought that the first pot didn't have enough soil, so she started taking soil from the second pot and moving it to the first one! It was plum (type of tomato, get it? haha!) adorable!
Once we made a quick Wal-Mart run, we had enough soil and pots to finish our little patio garden. It is so much fun to go out and water our plants and look for new buds! Bellamy always gets so excited to play in the soil check on their progress! Here's hoping we have a good season of crops!
Saturday, In the Park...
After we got finished with all of our chores on Saturday, we decided to go on a family outing. We first hit up the park on Old Woodville Highway. This is a really nice park with a lot of stuff for kids to do. It's not as fun right now for Bellamy because she just likes to swing and slide, but she'll get there!
We started off on the slides. This is a new thing for Bellamy and she LOVES it! I would set her up at the top and she would push herself off to Drew at the bottom!
Once we had our fill of the slide, we headed over to a little area with some flowers. She is in this phase where she likes to pluck stuff out of the ground. Anytime we take her outside, she is constantly pulling the weeds and little wild flowers. Today was no different! She found a patch of little yellow flowers and immediately picked one. I asked her to smell it and it went right in her mouth! She doesn't quiet have the concept of smelling down! That's OK, her way is super cute!
When she had picked about all she could, or rather, all I would let her, we moved on to other things! First up was this little contraption. Not quiet sure what this is, but I know she pitched a fit when I took her off of it!

Next up was the swings...her favorite! I love how when we put her in, she just starts grinning from ear-to-ear! She likes to swing by herself, but this time she also curled up in her daddy's lap and went for a ride as well! I LOVE the middle picture! Sometimes when I can't get Bellamy to smile for a picture, I start singing this little music you would hear if you were juggling. For some reason she thinks it's the funniest thing ever! And to boot, she actually starts to throw her hands up to juggle!
After we had slid down every slide, went swinging, and picked flowers, it was time to bid farewell to the park! We weren't really ready to go home though, so we decided to take a little ride to the Saint Mark's River to LOOK at the boats and the water. Bellamy, on the other hand, had another idea. Right when we got out Drew took her down to the water and all she wanted was to get in! This kid has NO fear! So we made a decision to take off her shoes and roll up her pants and just let her splash around. This is what happened...
When we noticed that her pants were getting wet, we took her out and just decided to let her go in in her diaper and shirt. Looking back, we should've taken her shirt off too!
Needless to say, she wasn't happy when it was time to get out! She just LOVES the water! Part of me feels like a bad parent because this probably isn't the cleanest of water, but the other part just enjoyed seeing that big smile on her face! We definitely need to get to the beach so this little girl can have some fun in some pretty water!
