Last night after Bellamy's singing performance (see below!), we settled down for Family Home Evening. The topic we chose to cover was service.
I love this topic because to perform service for someone, it doesn't matter how much money you have or the talents that you have..it is something anybody can do! It can be as simple as a smile to helping someone put a roof on their house. And I know that by doing service for others, it can help us feel closer to our Savior. This topic always reminds me of one of my favorite scriptures from Mosiah that reads, "And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." I hope that Drew and I are good examples of service so that as Bellamy grows up, she will have a love of helping others too!
Just-A-Singin'
As you may remember from an earlier post (here), Bellamy loves the refrigerator! She loves it when it opens up or when she can just crawl over and stand up by it. Lately she has taken a liking to the pictures on the freezer section. She loves for you to hold her up there and just let her grab and "talk" to all her little cousins!
Last night after we got home from walking, we were getting Bellamy's stuff ready for bed and just left her out in the living room to play. As we were in the bedroom laying stuff out, we hear a beautiful little singing voice echoing from the kitchen! So I grab my camera and start recording! And this was the end result!

What a pretty little voice! She must get that from her daddy (as well as everything else!) because I can't carry a tune whatsoever!
Bop's Pics
While Bellamy stays with her Nana and Pop (or "Bop" as Bellamy calls him!), I'll get random emails with pictures of their day. Here are the latest shots that I've gotten!
Playing with Benjamin
In the "play pen" waitn' on Nana
Chillin' with her lunch...NOTHING comes between Bellamy and her bottle!
Family Home Evening
I've been looking over my blog the last couple of weeks and started noticing a trend. The first one I noticed was that every 1st and 3rd Sunday I post a picture of Bellamy dressed and ready for church ("Sunday Best"). I do this because Drew has a church meeting in Tallahassee and misses getting to see her in the morning. So I always post that picture up on our blog. The second thing I noticed is that we do Family Home Evening every week, yet I don't post a picture of that! So I've now decided that "Sunday Best" and Family Home evening will be showing regularly on our blog!
As we were fixing to get Bellamy ready for her bath, I remembered that we hadn't had FHE. So I ran and grabbed a magazine, found a picture, and gave it to Drew for the lesson! The picture I gave him was of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appearing to the Prophet Joseph Smith. Next we talked to Bellamy about the Prophet and his role in restoring the gospel to the earth today.
I know that by setting aside this time each week (even though it's literally only 3 mintues!) will help Bellamy to build a strong testimony and have a sturdy foundation to help lead her back to her Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I also know that this helps strengthen mine and Drew's testimony as well and bring us closer together as a family.

She's super excited about the lesson!
Sunday Best!
Being that yesterday was 3rd Sunday, I got to take a couple of pictures of Bellamy all decked out in her Sunday best! Drew loves getting these pictures so he can see what she looks like all decked out for church! She looked plum ADORABLE!!
It is so amazing to watch her day-to-day changes! And boy is she starting to look so grown up!
**Since I take pictures for Drew every 1st and 3rd Sunday, I've decided to just make "Sunday Best" a usual spot for our little blog! Enjoy!**

Lake Ella
On Saturday after we finished up all our chores, we decided to take a drive up to Tallahassee. Since it was a game day, we knew it would be a ghost town up there and we would be free to do whatever we wanted so we took advantage of it!
We decided that we would start out by riding down by the stadium. It was COMPLETE chaos down there! But it sure made for some interesting people-watching! After about 5 minutes of being down there, I was itching to get out of that crowd! And off we went!
Next we headed over to Lake Ella to feed the ducks. Drew had taken Bellamy there a few months ago and said she had a blast, so I gave in and we went back! Here are a few shots of us while we there!
I never knew how much joy being a mom would bring me. This little girl is my EVERYTHING! She has the cutest smile, the best belly-laugh, and melts my heart to pure liquid when she sees me and starts panting like a little puppy dog and calling "ma-ma-ma-ma-ma!" I hope she knows how much we love her and how much joy she has brought, and will continue to bring, into our lives! I love you so much baby girl!

After we left Lake Ella, we ran a few errands and then headed back to Crawfordville. Needless to say that by the time we headed home, it was WAY past Bellamy's bedtime! She fell asleep somewhere on the drive home and once we finally got home, there was no waking her! Usually she wakes up when we get her out of the car, but this time she was done!

Plum Tuckered!
Last Friday when we got home from Tallahassee, Bellamy was tuckered out! This can mean one of two things...she's either going to be super giddy or super cranky! Thankfully she was in the giddy stage!
As I started pumping, Drew was watching Bellamy and she crawled over to him. They have this little dance they do to a song that he hums and she just loves it. When they danced today, she was overcome with the giggles!
After they finished dancing, she crawled over to the couch to see me and you could just see the tiredness all over that cute little face!
But she wasn't about to give in! My how we love this little thing!

Sleepy Girl
So after all the fun festivities on Saturday, Bellamy was pooped! Once we got packed up and headed home, she was out like a light!
Needless to say she didn't sleep long because we ran through a car wash, but at least she got another little power nap!
Bellamy's First Swim!
This past Saturday was a super busy day for us! We had Brittyn's 1st Birthday party in the morning and then Drew's birthday dinner with his family in the afternoon. So we'll start from the top and go from there!
First off, we went to Britt's party! We had a blast! It was a Birttish Invasion theme, where they served "fish and chips", pasta salad, and cake. I didn't get any pictures, but a fun time was had by all! Her party was during Bellamy's nap time, so needless to say she didn't get one! Which is fine, just makes for a cranky baby later on!
After we left party 1, we had to go run some errands. Bellamy was able to take a QUICK nap while we did that, about 10-15 minutes to be exact! After our running around, we headed over to Drew's parents house for party 2. Once we got there, we fed Bellamy and put her down upstairs and I went to pump. As I was fixing to head downstairs I heard her sqawking! So I stuck my head in the door and she was standing up in the crib just a smiling! So I swooped her up and we headed on downstairs.
Once we got downstairs, we ate some grub and then the real fun started...we got Bellamy dressed for her first dip in the pool!! Here are some pictures of this monumental event!

Getting ready! Poor little thing...I had to STUFF her into this suit!!
Drew has been trying to get her in the water for at least 4 months, but I was never there with my camera, so we had to wait!
Going in...
I think she likes it!
Pure joy!
Here is the video that documents her first swim! I wish I would have recorded the whole time because she was putting her face in the water and everything! My little dare devil! Can't wait until she can hit up the roller coasters with me!
After...still grinning from ear-to-ear!
After our quick swim in the pool, it was time for presents. I had a few that I wanted to upload, but this one turned out the best!
Cleaning House
After we got home from Mashes Sands, I decided since I had a little energy that I would do the floors. It's VERY rare that I have energy these days, so I took advantage of it! If you are a regular reader of my blog, you know how I always talk about how Bellamy loves to be right up next to us and in the kitchen...today was no exception! But that's hard to handle when you are trying to sweep and mop the floor! So we set up a barricade and I went to work!
As I was mopping, Bellamy was trying her darndest to get to me! Looking back, I should've gotten it on video, but I wasn't thinking! Anyway it went a little something like this...

BLOCKED...
GOING AROUND...
TIGHT SQUEEZE...
ALMOST THERE...
STUCK!!
She was so funny! And so determined to get in the kitchen! I hope this stubborn determination is not a sign of what's to come!
Labor Day
OK, so I know I'm a little behind with this post, but at least it's going up! For Labor Day, we did a WHOLE LOT OF NOTHING!! We slept late (well, Drew and Bellamy did...I didn't!) and just enjoyed the day together! For our fun family outing, we rode down to Mashes Sands beach and took a little walk. We didn't get in the water, not even our feet, simply because that is not the prettiest of the Florida beaches! But the walk was nice and Bellamy loved the feel of the wind in her hair!
After we left Mashes Sands, we headed home. While Bellamy was exploring around the house, she found some new spoons back in her toy bin and just had to have them! So I opened them up and used it as an opportunity for some pictures! Here are the results for your viewing pleasure!
After we left the beach part, we walked down the dock near the boat landing. Funny story...when Drew and I first started dating we went down to Mashes Sands to watch a firework show that Drew's friend Pete was putting on. We also rode down to this dock and carved our initals into it, you know, the middle school DV/JS thing! Well, a couple of months later a hurricane blew threw and messed up the dock. A little while after that, we went back down there to see if our initials surrived, but we couldn't get to it! So we took this opportunity to have a look! Unfortunately when the hurricane came threw, they had to rebuild the dock and it looked like they had placed new boards on top of our special spot. Oh well, we're still standing strong!
