North Florida Fair

For Veteran's Day this year, we did exactly what we did last year...we hit up the North Florida Fair!  We first had to take care of a little car business (what a pain), then we were fair bound!

Once we got there we loaded up on some carrots and headed to the petting zoo!  I just knew Bellamy was going to be in heaven with all these animals!  Here she is feeding the alpaca...

After the alpaca, we headed down to check out the roosters and the baby chicks!  This was such a cute picture last year, that we tried to recreate it again this year!

When we heard about all the "cock-a doodle-do"-ing we could take, we headed back up to finish feeding the already over-fed animals!  Next up we fed the big cow...

Then we went and visited the donkeys...

And as we were leaving the petting zoo, we took these pictures...

Next up on our journey, we hit up the merry-go-round!  Here we are getting ready to get on the ride...

  We started out on the horse...

But we didn't get moving fast enough, so she got bored and we moved to the carriage!  She looked so big sitting up there...it almost brought a tear to my eye!

I thought she would have a fit when it was time to get off, but she did good!  She sure was getting tired though!

Since I rode the merry-go-round with Bellamy, Drew decided to tackle the ferris wheel...big step for him, he doesn't too much care for heights!  Here are some shots of them getting on and then going for a ride!

I know she was tired, but when it was time to get off, she looked like she was just ready to go home!

When we were walking down to the kiddy rides, we noticed that they had a pony ride.  The guy wasn't there, so after we rode our rides, we decided to walk back by and see if he was back.  Lucky for us...he was!  And we saddled up and jumped on!

When it was time to get off, I just KNEW she was going to throw a fit.  But to my surprise, she didn't!  We talked to the pony and told him good bye and petted him and off we went!

Next up was a snack break!  We headed out for some frozen lemonade and a cookie.  I'm ashamed to admit this, but oh well...I ate probably 90% of that cookie!  Oh well, good thing we were going to "walk it off" at the fair! :)  And Bellamy thoroughly enjoyed the frozen lemonade!  Who could blame her though?!

The last thing we did was head to the cotton exhibit.  This was so much fun last year, that again, we just HAD to recreate it!  Here are a few shots of her playing in the cotton...and us too!

Finally it was time to head out!  We found Bellamy a souvenir and found somebody to take our family picture!

 But on the way out, we realized that that is where they keep their best toys!  Here they are showing off this bubble blower that was pure AWESOME!  If we hadn't just spent money on an LED butterfly (too much) then I would've totally bought this!  Bellamy seemed to enjoy it, but she was too tired to show it!

 We sure had a fun time at the fair!  She kept us busy running around, but it was so much fun to see her face light up at all the different booths!  Good bye North Florida Fair...we shall see you again next year!
